Writer and literary scholar specializing in the 20th-century Ukrainian literature. He is executive director of CIUS Press and project manager of the Internet Encyclopedia of Ukraine Project and the Hrushevsky Translation Project at the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies. He teaches courses on Ukrainian culture at York University in Toronto and produces TV segments “Eye on Culture” for the KONTAKT Ukrainian TV (OMNI TV) in Toronto. His Ukrainian-language novel Holos (Voice) was published in Lviv in 2005. His edited anthologies of Ukrainian prose, selected works by Eaghor G. Kostetzky, and wrote numerous essays on such literary figures as Mykola Kulish, Eaghor G. Kostetzky, and Emma Andiievska.
